SKILLSTORM PRIVACY POLICY SUMMARY FOR WEBSITE
At Skillstorm, protecting the privacy and security of client personal information is fundamental to the way we do business. New privacy legislation in Canada, including Alberta's Personal Information Privacy Act ("PIPA") and Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (“PIPEDA”), require businesses to have policies and procedures in place that demonstrate a commitment to protecting privacy.

Who and What Does This Policy Apply To?
This policy applies to any individual receiving a product or service from Skillstorm ("Client"). This policy relates to personal information ("Personal Information") which is any information recorded in any form, about an identifiable individual, other than the name, title or business address or telephone number of an employee of an organization. Personal Information does not include anonymous or non-Personal Information.
Accountability
Skillstorm has designated a Privacy Officer who is available to answer questions about the application of this privacy policy to individual situations as well as to address any questions or concerns relating to privacy compliance.
Each employee or agent of Skillstorm is responsible for Personal Information under his or her control.
Purposes for Collection, Use and Disclosure of Personal Information
The purposes for which Personal Information is collected shall be identified before or at the time the information is collected.
Consent for the Collection, Use or Disclosure of Personal Information
The prior knowledge and permission of the Client are required for the collection, use or disclosure of Personal Information, except for legal or security reasons.
Limiting Collection of Personal Information
The collection of Personal Information shall be limited to that which is necessary for the purposes identified. Personal information shall be collected by fair and lawful means.
Limiting Use, Disclosure and Retention of Personal Information
Personal Information will not be used, disclosed or retained for purposes other than those for which the Personal Information was collected, except with the permission of the individual, or as permitted or required by law.
Accuracy
Personal Information shall be as accurate, complete and current as is necessary for the identified purposes for which it is to be used.
Safeguards for Personal Information
Personal information will be protected by physical, procedural, and technical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information.
Openness
Members of Skillstorm will make readily available to its Clients specific information about our policies and procedures relating to the management of their Personal Information.
Access to Personal Information
Upon request, a Client will be informed of the existence, use and disclosure of his or her Personal Information and shall be given access to it. An individual will be able to challenge the accuracy and completeness of the information and have it amended as appropriate.
Complaints about Skillstorm’s Handling of Personal Information
Clients can address any complaint regarding compliance with the above principles, in writing, to the Skillstorm Privacy Officer.
Skillstorm reserves the right to amend or revise its privacy policy from time to time. Any amendments or revisions to its privacy policy will be posted to the Skillstorm website.
